With Oklahoma losing to Baylor on the road Saturday, the list of unbeatens in college football dwindled. Georgia is the only team without a blemish on its record from the Power 5 ranks while Cincinnati and UTSA are both 10-0 from the Group of 5 conferences.

The Roadrunners are far enough away from the party at this point and the Bearcats once again left something to be desired—it was just a 10-point game with a now-2-8 USF team entering the fourth quarter. As such, the debate about unbeaten vs. 1-loss team has somewhat fizzled up. If you think the Group of 5 schools deserve a shot in the College Football Playoff, you have Cincinnati in your top 4; if you think the competition levels are different, you have no compunction about putting a 1-loss team over the Bearcats.

ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit falls into the latter bucket.

Herbstreit tweeted out his top 6 teams after Saturday’s action, and Cincinnati isn’t on the board.

It’s no surprise to have Georgia at No. 1, and Herbstreit’s 2-4 are the same as the CFP selection committee’s from last week. Alabama trounced New Mexico State 59-3, Oregon beat Washington State 38-24, and Ohio State ended any Spoilermaker talk with a 59-31 beatdown of Purdue.

Michigan is at No. 5 for Herbstreit after a grind-it-out win over Penn State in State College.

And then there’s Oklahoma State. The Cowboys were one of the biggest benefactors of Oklahoma’s loss on Saturday. Since a 3-point loss to Iowa State on Oct. 23—the Pokes’ only of the season—the Cowboys are rolling. They’ve outscored opponents 142-23 and ripped off 3 straight to get to 9-1 on the season. A Bedlam battle in Stillwater on Nov. 27 now could have serious implications.
