Kirk Herbstreit couldn’t hold back his emotions on College GameDay on Saturday. When the program discussed social injustice and racism across the country, the college football analyst let everything out.

One of Saturday’s scheduled pieces on College GameDay was ESPN reporter Maria Taylor speaking in a players’ only Zoom conference call about the ongoing social injustice that continues across the country. Players shared their individual stories and discussed how they want to bring change to their campuses, their communities and to the country.

After the segment ended, everyone on the crew provided their insight on how players in the sport of college football continue to make an impact.

It was emotional topic for everyone involved. But when it was Herbstreit’s time to speak, he gave a powerful perspective that was moving for everyone watching.
