It can be hard to find positive news in the world of college sports these days. However, prominent college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit is making headlines for the right reasons today.

Kyle Cox, the coach of the Ben Davis Little League in Indiana, tweeted out a statement saying that his league was robbed of thousands of dollars worth of equipment recently. He included a link to the league’s GoFundMe, hoping to raise around $5,000 to replace the equipment that was stolen.

When Herbstreit saw the link, he couldn’t wait to help out.

Herbstreit nearly helped the Cox reach the goal with his single donation, pledging $3,730 to help replace the equipment. He followed with a tweet saying “All set,” after he made the donation.

It’s an incredibly kind gesture from Herbstreit, and an example that there is still some positive news in the world of college sports these days.
