Kirk Herbstreit reacts to dramatic day of Playoff semifinal action
Kirk Herbstreit was in Atlanta as a part of ESPN’s coverage for the Peach Bowl, calling the dramatic affair between Georgia and Ohio State that went down to the wire.
In the end, the Bulldogs knocked off Ryan Day and the Buckeyes with a final field goal attempt sailing wide left in the final seconds of the game. Out in the Fiesta Bowl, Michigan also fell while giving up 51 points to TCU.
On Sunday, Herbstreit took to social media to react to all of the action that went down on New Year’s Eve. Herbstreit highlighted the “incredible day” for the sport while congratulating TCU and Georgia for advancing on to the national championship. He also congratulated Michigan and Ohio State on their great seasons and expressed pride in his alma mater Buckeyes with “what they faced & how they responded.”
