Tom Rinaldi, one of ESPN’s top on-air reporters, is leaving for Fox, where he is expected to be featured across all of its major events from the Super Bowl to the World Series to the World Cup and college football, according to sources.

Rinaldi has been at ESPN since 2002 and has been a fantastic reporter throughout his time there.

On Wednesday evening, Kirk Herbstreit reacted to the news on his personal Twitter account. Herbstreit said he has always appreciated Rinaldi’s talent and storytelling abilities and admitted that Rinaldi will be sorely missed at ESPN:

It will be interesting to see who ESPN utilizes in Rinaldi’s role, particularly for his many segments on College GameDay, moving forward.
