Kirk Herbstreit released Top 4 following Week 7 action
The seventh week of the college football season is coming to a close and Kirk Herbstreit has unveiled his latest top four rankings.
Herbstreit was on the call with Chris Fowler on Saturday night for the prime time matchup between No. 15 Wisconsin and No. 12 Michigan. The Wolverines were dominant in their performance, posting a 38-13 win over the Badgers.
But the win wasn’t enough to propel Jim Harbaugh and Co. into Herbstreit’s top four, though he does think they’re getting closer. The college football analyst still has the undefeated teams at the top of his list, with LSU and Michigan as the two squads on the outside.
Here was Herbie’s top four following Week 7:
- 1. Alabama
- 2. Ohio State
- 3. Clemson
- 4. Notre Dame
While the unbeatens continue to sit in playoff position, the one-loss teams are starting to make a push. Herbstreit also said it’s tough to make a judgement so quickly after this week with so many top teams falling, so he might even make some changes.
We’ve reached upset season in college football. This is when things gets really interesting.
