We’re getting closer and closer to the end of the college football season, and with some games being played and some canceled, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit has posted his new Top 4.

Even with Ohio State being idle as a result of their game with Illinois being canceled due to COVID-19 issues, Herbstreit kept the Buckeyes in the 4-spot. Herbstreit may still like the Buckeyes as the No. 4 team in the country, but that is likely to change if they cannot play against Michigan State and qualify for the B1G Championship based on comments from Saturday’s College GameDay.

Holding serve in the 3-spot is Clemson, who after having their Week 12 game with Florida State canceled, returned to the field to blast Pittsburgh 52-17.

Both posting wins, Alabama and Notre Dame remained No.1 & No. 2.

Herbie’s updated Top 4 looks like this:

  1. Alabama Crimson Tide
  2. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
  3. Clemson Tigers
  4. Ohio State Buckeyes

Just on the outside looking in are Florida and Cincinnati.

Alabama, Notre Dame, and Ohio State are all undefeated so far this season and Clemson’s lone loss has been at the hands of the Irish. Trevor Lawrence did not play for Clemson in that game.

The coming weeks may or may not see changes at the top – we’ll have to wait and see.
