Not surprisingly, Georgia (11-0) is ranked as No. 1 in this ranking followed by Herbstreit’s alma mater of Ohio State at No. 2. Ohio State (10-1) is coming off a dominating 56-7 home win over No. 7 Michigan State on Saturday.

He has dropped Alabama (10-1) to No. 3 after a close 42-35 win over #21 Arkansas. Finishing out the top four is Michigan (10-1) after a big 59-18 road win at Maryland. Herbstreit has a top-four matchup in one of the most heated rivalries in College Football between Ohio State and Michigan.

Herbstreit has Cincinnati (11-0) and Oklahoma State (10-1) as the first two teams out of the playoff. He did state that Cincinnati will rise into the top four after Michigan or Ohio State loses, Alabama loses, and Cincinnati wins their last two games.
