The 2020 college football season is heading toward its conclusion with conference championships set for this weekend.

Over the past weekend in the B1G, Northwestern rolled against Illinois while Ohio State was idle after The Game vs Michigan was canceled. That sets up the 6-1 Wildcats against the 5-0 Buckeyes for the B1G Championship Game.

After the Week 15 slate, ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit unveiled his lists of players, coaches, and teams that impressed him. In the Week 8 B1G action, Iowa’s Ihmir Smith-Marsette was one player that caught Herbstreit’s eye.

In the win over Wisconsin, Smith-Marsette recorded 140 receiving yards and two touchdowns in a dominant performance. It netted him the No. 4 slot on Herbie’s list:

When it came to his top teams of the weekend, Herbstreit didn’t have a B1G team listed. His No. 1 team from the weekend was LSU for the upset of No. 6 Florida, likely ending Florida’s hopes of a Playoff spot:

For his most impressive coaches, Herbstreit did single out Minnesota’s P.J. Fleck for how he guided the Gophers past Nebraska. Despite being underdogs, Minnesota rode star running Mohamed Ibrahim to a 24-17 win over the Huskers:

Who did you have as some of your top performers for the week?
