ESPN College Football analyst Kirk Herbstreit gave his top teams, performances, and coaches from Week 7. Several B1G moments took over this weekend’s college football headlines and Herbstreit noticed.

He put Purdue’s dominating 24-7 performance vs. No. 2 Iowa on the road as his number one selection of top performance. The Boilermakers improved their all-time record vs. teams ranked No. 2 with the win.

The most noticeable player performance from that game was wide receiver David Bell, who recorded 11 receptions for 240 yards and a touchdown. Herbstreit had Bell’s performance as his top player of Week 7. Herbstreit’s seventh-best performance went to Minnesota running back Bryce Williams, who rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.

With the big win over No. 2 Iowa, Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm earned Herbstreit’s eight best top-performing coach of Week 7.
