Kirk Herbstreit listed the top 4 teams in college football by his eyes Sunday morning following an exciting Week 8 slate.

A pair of B1G teams, Michigan and Ohio State, cracked the top 4 in Herbstreit’s rankings. Michigan earned the top spot after demolishing Michigan State, 49-0.

Ohio State had a strong win over Penn State in a game that was far from their best outing of the season. Still, a win’s a win and the Buckeyes ranked No. 4 on Herbstreit’s list.

Georgia placed No. 2 while Florida State sits at No. 3. Washington fell to No. 3 after a slight win over Arizona State and Oklahoma sits at No. 6 following a close win over UCF.

Michigan has been burying opponents all season, but they’ve also yet to play a team with a pulse. Their final 3 weeks of the season against Penn State, Maryland and Ohio State will test whether they are truly as good as some say.

Ohio State is in the opposite boat. The Buckeyes now have wins over Notre Dame in South Bend, Penn State and Maryland. They’re undefeated on the season with one more crucial matchup against Michigan looming on the schedule.
