With the final week of the regular season in the books, there’s just one final thing standing in the way of the final College Football Playoff rankings: Championship Saturday.
This weekend caused a bit of a stir as No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Miami both went down this week. So, when the poll comes out on Tuesday, things will probably a lot different than they did last Tuesday. But what can we expect?
ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit provided his thoughts on what the Top 4 should look like when the next rankings are released. And Wisconsin fans aren’t going to be happy about it.
Herbstreit has Auburn at No.1 with Clemson at No. 2 and Oklahoma and Georgia filling the final two spots. Like last week, he’s got Wisconsin on the outside at No. 5, followed by Alabama, Miami and Ohio State.

Yes, Herbstreit has a two-loss Auburn sitting at the No. 1 spot this week and an undefeated Wisconsin at the No. 5 spot.
He did, however, provide a little feedback for each team on the outside looking in. Herbstreit says that if the Badgers knock off Ohio State in the B1G Championship Game, they’ll secure a bid in one of those our spots. He also says if the Buckeyes beat Wisconsin, they’ll be in the debate with Alabama and the loser of the ACC Championship Game.
We’ll see how the rankings unfold on Tuesday night. There are a lot of Wisconsin fans who will be outraged if the Badgers aren’t in one of those four spots again this week.
