The first time Minnesota and Penn State met on the hardwood in Minneapolis, Daniel Oturu and Lamar Stevens had to be separated in the handshake line. The two exchanged words after the game, and some not-so-kind words were said.

All that was erased on Saturday night. This time, the Golden Gophers and Nittany Lions met in Happy Valley, a game Penn State won 83-77. After the game, Oturu and Stevens met on the court, embraced and seemed to have buried the hatchet.

Both players were outstanding on Saturday. Oturu finished the contest with 32 points and 16 rebounds. Stevens scored 33 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished three assists. It was an entertaining game to watch.

Minnesota fell to 12-11 with the loss, while Penn State improved to 18-5 with a victory.

Here was the first interaction this season between Stevens and Oturu in Minneapolis. The Gophers defeated the Nittany Lions that day 75-69.
