Everyone watched in horror as Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral suffer what appeared to be a leg injury in the Rebels loss Saturday night to the Baylor Bears in the Sugar Bowl.

Corral is considered one of the top prospects at the quarterback position for the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft. And while there was plenty of concern over the potentially-serious injury, head coach Lane Kiffin had a positive update.

It was a sad end for the career of the quarterback who led his team to their first 10-win regular season ever in the school’s history.

Corral played this season with numerous injuries but still managed to play through them to lead his team. But it was quite obviously without him at quarterback, the Rebels looked helpless on offense.

Corral will now begin preparing for the NFL Draft.
