Conference play is starting to heat up in college basketball, bringing with it some victims of upsets to open 2022.

The latest AP Top 25 came out Monday afternoon with 5 B1G teams ranked. That includes Illinois returning to the poll after an absence early this season. The Illini are off to a 4-0 start in conference play.

Purdue and Ohio State dropped a bit after being ranked No. 3 and No. 13, respectively. The Boilermakers were taken down by Wisconsin early in the week while Ohio State lost to Indiana.

Speaking of the Badgers, Wisconsin jumped from 23 to 13 after wins over Purdue, Iowa, and sneaking away with a late win over Maryland. Michigan State remained at No. 10 after a win over Nebraska but the Spartans had Saturday’s rivalry game with Michigan canceled due to COVID-19.
