With recruiting classes signed, players entering the transfer portal and guys committed to the NFL Draft, the latest odds to win next year’s College Football Playoff national championship have been released.

The William Hill SportsBook recently updated the odds for next year’s national champion in college football. Unsurprisingly, the usual suspects are at the top, with Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma given the best odds to take home the trophy at the end of next season.

But there are some other surprising teams to make the list. Ohio State is the lone team from the B1G to make the cut on this list, however. For the first time in a few years, teams like Michigan, Penn State and Wisconsin didn’t get much love from the gamblers.

Here’s a look at the updated odds:

  • Alabama (+300)
  • Clemson (+400)
  • Ohio State (+700)
  • Oklahoma (+800)
  • Georgia (+1000)
  • Texas A&M (+2000)
  • Florida (+2500)
  • Notre Dame (+2500)
  • Iowa State (+2500)
  • Texas (+2800)
  • LSU (+3000)
  • USC (+3000)
  • North Carolina (+3500)

It’s still extremely early to start predicting next year’s national champion. At the end of spring practice, we may start to get a better idea of which teams are contenders for the title race.
