LeBron James sent out his congrats to the new president and CEO of the Chicago Bears. Kevin Warren will depart his role as commissioner of the B1G for the opportunity to lead the Bears.

“Major shout out to my brother Kevin Warren on being named the President and CEO of the Chicago Bears,” James tweeted. “Amazing my guy! Best of luck.”

James grew up in Akron, Ohio and his status as an Ohio State fan leaves him in tune with Warren’s work and the status of the B1G.

Though his tenure was somewhat short-lived, Warren put his stamp on the B1G, expanding the conference with the additions of USC and UCLA. He also negotiated a massive TV deal for the conference with NBC, CBS and FOX.

Warren has a lot of NFL experience, serving in the league since 2001 before taking the job with the B1G in 2020. From 2005-19, he was with the Vikings in various executive roles, and he held one of the biggest roles in the construction of US Bank Stadium.

Warren leaves his mark everywhere he goes, and that most certainly will not change with the Bears.
