Lee Corso is absent from College GameDay this morning. The show kicked off at Clemson for the top-10 matchup against North Carolina State with Pat McAfee in Corso’s usual chair.

It is unclear whether or not that Corso will make it on the show for his iconic GameDay pick, but McAfee should provide some of the personality that Corso is known for. McAfee is in his first year as a full-time member of the GameDay show.

Corso happens to be a little superstitious about his illness after his opinions on Clemson. It’s good to see that Corso is still feeling like his old self even though he’s under the weather.

“At one point he told the doctors, ‘yeah I feel this way because I said Clemson was overrated,” host Rece Davis said.

The show must go on, however, even without its longest tenured member. Corso has been with the show since its beginning in 1987.

Hopefully Corso gets better sooner rather than later.
