College GameDay has been a weekly tradition for fans across the nation dating back to its inception in 1987. One of the most beloved members of the crew is former coach Lee Corso, who has been a part of the show since day one.

Corso has become a fan favorite throughout the decades and it’s always a treat to see which mascot head he’ll don for his predictions.

During last season, Corso wasn’t with the crew for safety precautions during the pandemic. But this season, the gang is fully back.

“Last year was the first time I missed being on the GameDay set in 28 years,” Corso said during the show. “I miss you guys and I missed the crowd. Kirk, it’s great to be back.”

No matter your fandom or affiliations, there’s a resounding respect in the college football world for Corso. It’s wonderful to have Corso back on the set.

College GameDay is live from Atlanta for a Week 0 matchup between Alcorn State and North Carolina Central in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge.
