Liberty junior Jaivian Lofton may have produced one of the most fantastic catches of the 2022 season off a one-handed catch for a 34-yard touchdown in the Week 5 game versus Old Dominion. Liberty’s quarterback escaped the pocket to the right side, throwing a tremendous pass to Lofton, reaching up for an insane athletic grab.

There have been some one-handed catches already in this 2022 college football season, but Lofton’s catch is among one of the most entertaining.

That 34-yard touchdown reception from Lofton is the only reception in the game vs. Old Dominion midway through the second quarter.

In the previous four games this 2022 season, Lofton has caught 5 receptions for 46 yards. In the 2021 and the 2020 seasons, Lofton has combined for 6 receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown.

Fair to say that the one-handed touchdown grab was a breakout performance for Lofton.
