LOOK: Alabama uses ingenious method to dry field for Iron Bowl

It looks like Alabama’s offense is not the only one with a bag of tricks!

The Crimson Tide have continued their run of regular season dominance this season. Nick Saban’s squad is 11-0 and ranked No. 1 overall heading into Saturday’s Iron Bowl rivalry with Auburn.

As the teams get set for the game, Alabama faced the dilemma of drying out the field in Bryant-Denny Stadium. A Black Friday storm throughout the southeast dumped rain Friday night into early Saturday morning, making field conditions sloppy for Saturday’s action.

Fortunately, Alabama called in some help to dry out the soaked field. Greg Byrne, Alabama’s Director of Athletics, shared videos of two helicopters flying down to field level early Saturday morning. It is hard to tell how effective they were, but it appears the helicopters were used to help dry off the field:
