Purdue and Indiana don’t like each other very much. There’s no disputing that. But when it comes to doing the right thing, the rivalry takes a backseat.
Tuesday morning, Purdue superfan Tyler Trent, who has become one of the strongest voices for cancer research recently, tweeted out a photo of a gift he received from Indiana University. He’ll be in attendance for the Old Oaken Bucket game in Bloomington as a guest of Indiana.
That’s a really awesome move from the Hoosiers.
Huge thank you to @IndianaFootball for being accommodating and helping me get to the game this weekend! Should be a good one! #BoilerUp #TylerStrong pic.twitter.com/CoAVUF2MRV

Saturday is a huge game for both Purdue and Indiana. Both teams are currently 5-6 this season and need a victory to reach bowl eligibility.
The winner gets to the postseason and the loser starts working on the 2019 campaign a little earlier.
Indiana’s gesture is just further evidence that college football is a special sport. And though the rivalry may be intense, the Hoosiers provided an awesome gift to a Boilermaker.
