It’s Week 13.

It’s rivalry week. Hatred is in the air. Bragging rights are at stake.

In the state of Indiana, the Hoosiers are hosting Purdue and the winner will be able to talk trash for the next year. With that in mind, the fan bases should be out in full force supporting their respective team.

However, that doesn’t seem to be the case:

The atmosphere doesn’t look quite that electric. What’s worse is that this game isn’t just between teams that have locked their respective spot in a bowl game or are ineligible to make it to a bowl game.

Both teams are 5-6 on the season. Both teams need this win.

Sometimes, though, other games can influence interest. In the world of the Big Ten, No. 10 Ohio State is hosting No. 4 Michigan at noon. This Indiana-Purdue game is also being played at noon.

That may be one of the reasons why Hoosier and Boilermaker fans are flipping channels Saturday afternoon. Indiana-Purdue can be watched on ESPN2.
