Temple is taking its Star Wars theme night very seriously.
On Thursday night, the Owls battled Tulsa in an AAC matchup. It was the first conference game for both teams, trying to get a leg up in the league race. To celebrate the home conference game, Temple decided to have a Star Wars theme.
Jerseys, stadium music and hype videos all had a special Star Wars theme for Thursday’s contest. But things did get a little weird.
A couple people on the Temple sideline dressed up as stormtroopers and were holding up signs with the phrase “$ down” written. It was held up every time the defense needed a third down stop.

Yeah, that’s just a little weird.
But, too their credit, they were very theme-oriented.
Here are a few other videos Temple dropped on Thursday highlighting the team’s Star Wars theme night and jersey selection.
