Even the Citadel had something to say about Oklahoma’s pitiful performance in the first quarter of the Orange Bowl.

The Sooners entered as underdogs against No. 1 Alabama, but even most analysts expected a better start than this. Unfortunately for Oklahoma, the Crimson Tide hit the ground running and haven’t let up.

The Crimson Tide raced out of the gate with 21-unanswered points in the first quarter. Damien Harris rushed for two scores while QB Tua Tagovailoa threw for another while starting a perfect 9-for-9 passing.

The 21 points scored in the first quarter is an Orange Bowl record. Not only that, the Citadel wanted fans to know they had a better first quarter against Alabama than Oklahoma:

No matter who you are rooting for, you have to admit it is a good jab by the Citadel.
