One of the best big man targets for the class of 2022 has set his commitment timeline with a number of B1G programs in the mix.

The player is Tarris Reed, a 6-foot-9 power forward out of Branson, Missouri. He has been playing the four in high school but is rated as the No. 14 center for the cycle by the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. He is also the No. 71 overall prospect nationally.

On Friday, Reed set his commitment for his birthday, which will be Aug. 5:

Since the start of June, Reed has officially visited four B1G programs. That group is Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, and Ohio State.

Michigan State has yet to add a commitment to the 2022 recruiting class while Michigan has just one commitment in four-star point guard Dug McDaniel out of Virginia.

Purdue and Ohio State have both been busy early on for the cycle. Ohio State has the No. 2 recruiting class nationally with three commitments led by the 23rd best prospect nationally in Bruce Thornton out of Georgia. The class of the Boilermakers is ranked 11th nationally with three commitments led by four-star forward Camden Heide.

Stay tuned to find out which program lands Reed.
