Maria Taylor is reportedly heading back to the college football world. New York Post’s Andrew Marchand reported the news.
Taylor will be leading the upcoming package “Big Ten Saturday Night” as a part of the new media rights deal the conference has with NBC, CBS, and FOX. NBC will be broadcasting college football games during the primetime window.
Taylor’s new position will start in the fall of 2023. She used to be with ESPN from 2013-2021. In 2021 Taylor moved to NBC Sports where she later became a part of the pregame coverage for Sunday Night Football. Taylor replaced Mike Tirico after he became one of the play-by-play commentators for Sunday Night Football.

The Sunday Night Football pregame show currently includes Taylor, former Dallas Cowboys HC Jason Garrett, and longtime Indianapolis Colts HC Tony Dungy. It looks like the sports media world is going through some changes once again.
Taylor was a longstanding piece of ESPN’s College GameDay reporter and also served as a sideline reporter for the network’s coverage of college football. She eventually left ESPN for NBC Sports in the summer of 2021.
