Masters GameDay? ESPN pregame show heading to Augusta National on November 14
ESPN’s College GameDay will be making a unique trip in 2020.
On Tuesday morning, it was announced that the popular college football pregame show would be colliding with the PGA Tour on Nov. 14, as College GameDay will make the trip to Augusta National as The Masters tournament will be in progress.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Masters was pushed from its original spring date to November. It now bumps up against an important weekend on the college football slate.
“Fred Ridley, Chairman of August National Golf Club, announced today that The Masters will provide an expansive slate of content across multiple platforms, including College GameDay live from Augusta National on Saturday, November 14,” a statement from The Masters said.

It’s an interesting decision for College GameDay, as there are plenty of popular locations the pregame show could hit up on that weekend. But without fans in attendance for the pregame show, this would be as good a time as any to try something different.
We’ll see what the reception is like in a few weeks.
