Mel Kiper Jr. has a new No. 1 selection in the 2022 NFL Draft. It’s not Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson.

As the NFL Scouting Combine gets underway this week, Kiper released his latest mock draft, projecting all 32 first-round picks for this year’s event. His latest top pick is NC State’s Ikem Ekwonu, the top offensive tackle prospect in the class.

Kiper acknowledges that the Jacksonville Jaguars could go either way, selecting an offensive tackle or defensive end. Right now, though, he’s leaning towards offensive line.

Hutchinson isn’t far back, coming in at No. 2. The ESPN analyst as the former Michigan star and Heisman Trophy finalist heading to the Detroit Lions to start his NFL career.
