Michigan has won two of the past three matchups against its in-state rival, Michigan State. The Wolverines, however, have lost four of the last six to the green and white as well.

This series has been close as of late, and despite what some Michigan fans and players say, there is absolutely a rivalry between the Wolverines and the Spartans.

If that wasn’t apparent before, it was apparent after a quote came from Michigan DB Ambry Thomas:

It’s not about which team is better. As Thomas puts it, “it’s about who’s the big brother and who’s the little sister in this state.”

Not a rivalry?

Think again.

Michigan-Michigan State is scheduled for a noon ET kickoff on Saturday and the game will be televised on FOX.
