The Wolverines have landed a hoops commitment from a class that’s 3 years down the line.
Christian Anderson Jr. has committed to Michigan per Travis Banham of 247Sports.

In Branham’s story, Anderson Jr. explains why he committed so early and a lot of it seems to be loving head coach Juwan Howard and his entire staff.
“Because coach Juwan Howard and the entire staff believed in me from the start, they recognized my academics, my circumstances and my potential in the future,” Anderson said of why he chose Michigan. “Coach Howard is an NBA Champion, he has been on an NBA Championship team, he has coached NBA Championship teams and I just thought Michigan and the whole program would be a great fit for me.”
This is Michigan’s first commitment for the 2024 class and what’s even crazier is that they don’t even have 1 for 2023 yet.
This is the new norm for college recruiting though so we could see similar 2024 recruits announce their decision soon.
Anderson Jr. is currently unraked on 247Sports but that will surely change at some point.
