Michigan, Iowa release status reports for B1G Championship Game
Michigan and Iowa are preparing for their B1G Championship Game clash in Indianapolis. Ahead of kickoff, the two sides dropped their status reports for the game.
For the Hawkeyes, star TE Luke Lachey remains sidelined after his serious leg injury earlier in the year. He has not been ruled out for the season but a return for Saturday is out of the question.
Meanwhile, defensive lineman Deontae Craig is listed as questionable for the game. Craig has 48 tackles, 4 TFLs and 2 sacks this season.
As for Michigan, the Wolverines included offensive lineman Zak Zinter as out after the devastating leg injury sustained in The Game. However, another key pair of starters were listed as questionable for the Wolverines.
Defensive back Will Johnson and starting center Drake Nugent were listed on the status report as questionable for Saturday night. Johnson is second on the team with 3 interceptions and 4 pass breakups this season, including a key interception against Ohio State last week.
We’ll see how these injuries play out come kickoff. Michigan is a huge favorite for the game, and Iowa will look for any crack the Hawkeyes can exploit Saturday night.
