Michigan, Michigan State set aside rivalry for PSA about COVID-19
The rivalry between Michigan and Michigan State is one of the most heated in the B1G. The state is divided among Wolverines fans and Spartans faithful.
But right now, the two sides are working together for the best interest of the state and the country. The two sides put the rivalry on hold temporarily to provide a public service announcement regarding the seriousness and severity of the coronavirus.
On Thursday, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer shared the PSA video on her social media page. Juwan Howard, Tom Izzo, Jim Harbaugh, Mel Tucker and many other UM and MSU coaches joined the video to spread the word.
Below is the video shared from Whitmer’s Twitter account:
We teamed up with @UMich and @MichiganStateU to remind you that no matter who you root for, we need your help to fight the spread of #COVIDー19. When it comes to keeping Michiganders safe, we’re all on the same team. Go Green! Go Blue! pic.twitter.com/YEsdO1aqPx
