Everybody was watching.
Saturday’s matchup between No. 4 Michigan and No. 10 Ohio State drew a monstrous audience, which isn’t much of a surprise. With a trip to the B1G Championship Game and College Football Playoff implications on the line, everyone wanted to tune in to see the showdown between the Wolverines and Buckeyes.
According to FOX Sports, “The Game” drew an 8.0 metered market rating, which is the best metered market rating of a college football game this season on any network. It was also the best rating ever for a regular season game on FOX ever.
Saturday’s viewership was up 19 percent from last year’s matchup between the two rivals.

The top five markets were, of course, came from the Michigan and Ohio Areas. Columbus, Dayton, Cleveland, Detroit and Cincinnati were where viewership was the highest.
Ohio State posted a 62-39 win over Michigan to claim its seventh straight victory over the Wolverines. Now, the Buckeyes travel to Indianapolis to take on Northwestern for a shot at the B1G title.
