Michigan and Penn State both made the top three of ESPN’s ranking of top college football uniforms on Tuesday night, but were beaten out for the top spot.

The World Wide Leader instead ranked Notre Dame at No. 1 in their list of top uniforms across the country. Michigan finished No. 2 and the Nittany Lions came in at No. 3.

Notre Dame’s “Golden Domers” took the top spot on this list, but each of the top three are iconic in different ways. USC and Oregon rounded out the top five.

Penn State earned other praise from ESPN as it power ranked other aspects of college football on Tuesday evening. The Nittany Lions were ranked in the top five of ESPN’s list for best college towns and ranked in the top-25 of their preseason rankings.

Ohio State was a notable snub from this list, but the Buckeyes did get a shoutout from ESPN for having one of the best traditions in college football.
