Mike Norvell receives celebratory Cheez-It bath following FSU's dramatic bowl win
Mike Norvell and Florida State went down to the wire with Oklahoma in the 2022 Cheez-It Bowl Thursday evening. That game produced one of the best finishes so far in bowl season with both sides combining for 32 points in the fourth quarter.
The two sides traded blows down the stretch and the Seminoles finally took the lead for good with a field goal inside a minute left in the game. That kick made it 35-32, FSU, with 55 seconds to play.
While Oklahoma had one final possession with the football, Florida State ended the game with a sack. The Sooners had no timeouts remaining and could only watch as time expired.
When it comes to victory baths, Gatorade is the drink of choice for head coaches everywhere, but things take on a different life in bowl season. Being the Cheez-It Bowl, Norvell was the recipient of a Cheez-It victory bath to celebrate the occasion.

French fries, Frosted Flakes and Cheez-Its are just a few of the food items used in celebratory baths in bowl season. Of course, the main event comes around when the winning coach of Friday’s Duke’s Mayo Bowl will receive a mayo bath after the game. Stay tuned!
