On Tuesday, ESPN PR announced on Twitter that the game was the most-watched noon telecast on ABC in nearly three seasons:

ESPN/ABC and FOX have been battling more for the noon time slot than ever before it seems like. We’ve seen a number of marquee matchups take place at noon this season — more than usual, right?

Putting Penn State-Minnesota on at noon for ABC seemed to do wonders. We’re likely to see more of these “bigger” games on at noon due to the success they’ve had.
