Multiple B1G players land in NFL Draft analyst’s Top 5 for each position group

Several former B1G players are hoping their dreams become a reality in a few months, with the 2021 NFL Draft scheduled for the end of April. There were plenty of great players who proved they’re capable of making it at the next level during the 2020 college football season.

NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks recently released his list of the Top 5 prospects for each position heading into this year’s draft. Plenty of B1G players were included, with 11 stars from the league earning a mention.

Ohio State led the way with four players earning recognition, while Penn State was closely behind with three. Michigan had two players and Iowa and Northwestern each had one.

No. 2: Justin Fields, Ohio State

Running backs

No. 5: Trey Sermon, Ohio State

Tight ends

No. 2: Pat Freiermuth, Penn State

Offensive tackles

No. 2: Rashawn Slater, Northwestern

No. 4: Jalen Mayfield, Michigan

Interior blockers

No. 2: Wyatt Davis, Ohio State

Edge defenders

No. 3: Kwity Paye, Michigan

No. 5: Jayson Oweh, Penn State

Defensive tackles

No. 3: Daviyon Nixon, Iowa

Linebackers

No. 1: Micah Parsons, Penn State

Outside linebackers

No. 5: Baron Browning, Ohio State
