One of the nation’s top offensive lineman has narrowed his list down to five schools, and three of those are in the B1G.

Friday, four-star offensive guard Rocco Spindler trimmed down his list of programs under consideration. The 6-foot-5, 315-pound lineman has Penn State, Michigan and Ohio State included in his final five. The other two schools still in the mix outside the conference are LSU and Notre Dame.

Spindler has received 18 offers on the recruiting trail, most of which are from high-profile programs. That’s not surprising, considering he’s listed as one of the top overall players in the 2021 recruiting cycle.

Per 247Sports, Spindler is the No. 44 overall prospect in the 2021 class, earning him the four-star rating. He’s also ranked as the No. 2 offensive guard in the class. The Clarkston, Michigan native is the third-best player from his home state.

According to his evaluation on 247Sports, Spindler’s size and athleticism could allow him to play multiple spots on the offensive line, or potentially even the defensive line. With some work, he could potentially be a future first-round pick in the NFL Draft.
