Two B1G bluebloods are still in consideration for the nation’s No. 1 ranked cornerback in the 2021 recruiting class.

Wednesday, five-star cornerback Tony Grimes revealed his list of top eight schools that he’s still considering. Ohio State and Penn State are the two B1G programs still in the mix to receive his commitment. The other six schools still alive are Clemson, Virginia, Texas A&M, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.

Grimes made his announcement with a graphic on Twitter.

Per 247Sports, Grimes is ranked as the nation’s No. 1 cornerback in the recruiting cycle and is the No. 7 overall player in the 2021 class. The 6-foot, 180-pound native of Virginia Beach has received 41 offers during the recruiting process.

Ohio State is already piecing together an historic recruiting class this year. The Buckeyes own the nation’s top-ranked class currently, and have received commitments from 10 players ranked inside the top 100 overall. In total, OSU has 15 pledges.

Penn State has been a little slower during the recruiting process, only receiving commitments from three players so far. Only one is listed as a four-star talent.
