The NCAA Division I Council is making a move, deciding to change the spring window for transfers. Originally set for May 1 through May 15, the new spring transfer window will have an earlier timeline.

According to a report from Nicole Auerbach with The Athletic, the new window for spring transfers will be from April 15 to April 30 for both FBS and FCS.

That policy change follows previous changes that allow student-athletes to transfer once during their careers and be allowed eligibility to play right away. The new timeline should help teams and players work around spring practices and spring games.

In the future, if a player wishes to transfer, they will have to provide notice within the proposed transfer windows.
