The early March Madness preview is out, and four B1G teams have been included in the NCAA’s early release of the Top 16 seeds currently with a month left in the college basketball season.

Saturday, the NCAA released its early Top 16 seeds for the NCAA Tournament. The four B1G teams that earned recognition during the reveal were Michigan, Ohio State, Illinois and Iowa.

Both Michigan and Ohio State are currently sitting on the No. 1 seed line while Illinois is the only B1G team listed as a No. 2 seed. There are no No. 3 seeds from the B1G, and Iowa rounded out the league as a No. 4 seed.

Here’s a complete look at the Top 16 seeds:

No. 1 seeds

  • Gonzaga Bulldogs
  • Baylor Bears
  • Michigan Wolverines
  • Ohio State Buckeyes

No. 2 seeds

  • Illinois Fighting Illini
  • Villanova Wildcats
  • Alabama Crimson Tide
  • Houston Cougars

No. 3 seeds

  • Virginia Cavaliers
  • West Virginia Mountaineers
  • Tennessee Volunteers
  • Oklahoma Sooners

No. 4 seeds

  • Iowa Hawkeyes
  • Texas Tech Red Raiders
  • Texas Longhorns
  • Missouri Tigers

Michigan currently leads the B1G with an 8-1 record and is 13-1 overall. Ohio State and Illinois are two of the hotter teams in the B1G right now. Iowa is widely considered a Final Four team, however it has stumbled recently.

How much will these seeds change? In college basketball, anything can happen. With a month left, it should be fun to see what teams rise and fall with only a handful of games left on the schedule.
