NCAA’s Transformation Committee released its final report that will be considered by the Division I board of directors at the 2023 NCAA convention, per Sports Illustrated’s Ross Dellenger. In the report, it was recommended that the both the men’s and women’s NCAA Tournaments expand to 90 teams in the future.

If you want to look at the entire 40-page report, look here.

The report stated that the Tournament should expand to include 25% more teams. While the expansion is not confirmed just yet, it would definitely change the format of the tournament forever. Fans of college basketball have become used to the 64-team tournament that seeds teams from 1-16.

It will be interesting to see how the tournament looks if the expansion eventually gets approved. Would it be better if more seeds or added to make up for more teams added? Or should there still be 16 seeds?

Tradition will keep you updated if anything changes.
