There are still several months until the scheduled kickoff of the 2020 college football season, but it’s never too early to start looking ahead. We’re already making some early predictions on where teams will rank when fall arrives.
Recently, the NCAA updated its preseason top 25 rankings now that spring practice has been cut short. While it has already produced a way-too-early rankings, this one has a few slight changes after a few months into the offseason.
Ohio State led the way for the B1G, coming in at No. 2 in the rankings. The Buckeyes will enter the second year of the Ryan Day era, coming off a 13-1 campaign in which they won the B1G title and earned a berth in the College Football Playoff.
Penn State was the second B1G team to fall inside the top 10, coming in at No. 8. The Nittany Lions finished the 2019 season with an 11-2 record and defeated Memphis in the Cotton Bowl.
Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa also cracked the top 25. Below is the complete list from NCAA.com:
