NCAA volleyball rankings: 7 B1G programs land on updated AVCA Top 25 (Sept. 12, 2022)
The NCAA volleyball rankings for the week of Sept. 12 are out with the AVCA releasing the updated coaches poll on Monday.
When the latest results dropped, the B1G remained well-represented with 7 programs in the top 25. Nebraska – off to a 7-0 start and coming off a clutch win over Creighton – leads the conference at No. 2 in the country behind Texas.
Wisconsin (up 2 spots to No. 4) and Ohio State (up 3 spots to No. 5) were the other big movers up the rankings from the B1G. Minnesota was the largest dropper falling to No. 6 after checking in at No. 3 last week.
Here is the AVCA Top 25:
#5 Ohio State
#7 Georgia Tech
#8 San Diego
#11 Penn State
#21 Western Kentucky
We’ll see how things shape up heading into the heart of September.
Big weekend matches resulted in shifts in the new AVCA Div. I Coaches Poll. @TexasVolleyball and @Huskervball keep the top spots, then @PennStateVBALL jumps up from No. 20 to 11, and No. 24 @RazorbackVB enters the rankings for the first time since 2015.https://t.co/mfbSo2lDQy pic.twitter.com/ga7sdq5Lfb
