Nearly 20 former B1G players included on 2022 College Football Hall of Fame ballot

It’s time to honor some of the best college football players to ever put on the helmet and shoulder pads in the B1G.

On Wednesday, the National Football Foundation released the list of players and coaches who are on the ballot to be part of the 2022 College Football Hall of Fame class. Nearly 20 former B1G players were included on the ballot.

A total of 17 players from the B1G were included on the list, plus one player out of Nebraska prior to the Huskers joining the conference. All will have a shot to join some of the all-time greats in Atlanta.

Below is the list of former B1G players who received a spot on the ballot to be part of the 2022 class:

Paul Posluszny, LB, Penn State

Steve Wisniewski, OG, Penn State

Larry Burton, WR, Purdue

Dallas Clarke, TE, Iowa

Robert Gallery, OT, Iowa

Mike Doss, DB, Ohio State

James Laurinaitis, LB, Ohio State

Moe Gardner, DT, Illinois

Kevin Hardy, LB, Illinois

Simeon Rice, LB, Illinois

Steve Hutchinson, OL, Michigan

Mark Messner, DT, Michigan

Antwaan Randle El, QB, Indiana

Troy Vincent, DB, Wisconsin

Zach Wiegert, OT, Nebraska*

*Was not a member of the B1G during playing career
