In Branham’s story, Dawson explains why he chose to commit to the Cornhuskers and a lot of it came down to how they play since he thinks it suits him well.
“Coach [Fred] Hoiberg and coach Matt [Abdelmassih] flew out to see me and they really liked how I play and then seeing their play-style and how they play, I see myself fitting in a perfect match,” Dawson said of why he chose the Cornhuskers.
Dawson also said that the fanbase played a role in his decision and he loves how everyone is wearing Nebraska colors all the time around campus.
He’s rated as the No. 1 small forward in the country and the No. 27 player in California per his 247Sports Composite ranking. He’s also the No. 251 player overall in the country for the 2022 class.
