It’s not exactly where Nebraska or Indiana hoped to be this postseason, but both teams will have the opportunity to continue their season in the NIT.

Both the Huskers and Hoosiers hoped to make an NCAA Tournament run this year, but injuries and key losing stretches hampered both squads this year. But both teams will have the opportunity to host at least one NIT game and can pursue some postseason success.

Indiana was given a No. 1 seed in the NIT and will host St. Francis (Pennsylvania) on Tuesday night in Assembly Hall. The Hoosiers finished the year 17-15 and were considered a bubble team because of some signature wins over Quad 1 teams.

Tipoff between Indiana and St. Francis is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET with broadcast coverage on ESPN.

Nebraska will be in action on Wednesday, as the fourth-seeded Huskers host Butler in Lincoln. Tim Miles’ crew had a strong performance in the B1G Tournament, knocking off Rutgers and Maryland before losing a close one to Wisconsin in the quarterfinal round. The Huskers ended the year 18-16.

Tipoff between Nebraska and Butler is scheduled for 9 p.m. and will air on ESPN2.
