Nebraska and USC are playing in a Big Ten matchup in Week 12. Both teams badly need a win for their bowl game hopes, and tensions are already high before kickoff.

Several hours before kickoff, Nebraska players and coaches gathered at midfield on the USC logo. Some USC players and staffers took exception to this, and lots of yelling and clapping was seen.

The USC players saw Nebraska’s midfield logo meeting as a sign of disrespect. This isn’t the first time Matt Rhule’s Nebraska teams have caused controversy for pregame meetings.

Last year when Nebraska visited Colorado, Shedeur Sanders accused Rhule’s team of disrespecting the Buffaloes’ logo. At the time, Rhule denied Sanders’ claims and said his team always takes time to pray together at midfield before games.

“We do it at every stadium. We go (to the middle of the field), we pray for blessings,” said Rhule at the time.

The Trojans are 1-4 in their last 5 games, so, understandably, the players are frustrated. The Huskers, meanwhile, have lost 3 in a row entering this weekend and desperately need a win with 3 games remaining.

These new B1G rivals will kick off from LA Memorial Coliseum at 4:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. PT. It will be interesting to see if the pregame scuffle carries over into the game.
