Netflix raised some eyebrows with a cryptic post on social media recently. A new series could be heading to the streaming service very soon.
A 10-second clip was posted on Netflix’s Twitter account of Manziel in the style of the “Untold: The Girlfriend Who Didn’t Exist” Manti T’eo documentary. This was in response to someone on twitter predicting a documentary will happen eventually, but that person’s tweet has now been deleted.
It would definitely be interesting to see Manziel tell his story. The former Texas A&M QB went from winning the Heisman Trophy in 2012 and having a party lifestyle, to becoming a bust in the NFL.
Manziel’s only NFL team was the team that drafted him, the Cleveland Browns. After spending 2014-2015 with them, he headed to the CFL. He played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Montreal Alouettes in 2018, before joining the AAF’s Memphis Express in 2019. Manziel currently plays for the FCF Zappers in the Fan Controlled Football League.
If the documentary does happen, it would definitely be a great watch.
